Level 4: Long Vowels & Silent Letters

Focus: Long vowel sounds, silent "e", and vowel teams

Level 4 contains 28 lessons.  Students explore how vowels can change sounds, especially when paired with a silent "e" (like in cake, bike, rope) or with another vowel (ai, ee, oa, ue). This level teaches key vowel patterns and introduces alternative spellings.

Key Skills:

• Understanding silent "e" and magic "e" rules

• Learning vowel teams (ai, ee, ie, etc.)

• Reading multisyllabic words

• Building fluency with controlled reading passages
